TitleAnalogue to digital conversion

DescriptionAn excel simulation of analogue to digital converter - and vice versa. It superposes 5 sinusoidal waveforms (user can tweak the amplitude, frequency and phase of these). It then adds noise and attenuates the signal. It then amplifies the signal, leaving a noisier original signal. It generates a digital signal, adds noise, then regenerates it to compare with the analogue original. It also generates a sample of the waveform, converts this to 3-bit binary, then regenerates the signal, showing the effect on noise on the digital signal (none overall), and of sampling frequency on the fidelity of the regenerated digital signal. Sections can be printed off as worksheets, or as a summary of the effects of noise on digital and analogue signals.
